Project Terrier Project Terrier from year 1994 is a modular vehicle concept enabling large variability arrangement. Including two frame variants and three different wheelbases . These frames can be mounted with seven variants of alternative axles. Front , rear or all-wheels can be propelled, including the ability to move sideways diagonally “crab-style.” The control can be variously positioned on the chassis, depending on the location of the cabin. The propulsion unit is placed amid the vehicle and accessed very easily. The internal combustion engine , which was originally designed for transverse placing, is rotated by 90 degrees and placed lengthwise in the Terrier, with the drive shafts becoming the coupling shafts, leading in case of the 4x4 engine to the control shaft axles. In this configuration, the original control shaft is the inter-axle differential . The frame and also the selected placing allows incorporation of various types of drive units, including electric, whereas there is even enough space available for batteries. |
